Is Iceland a vacation destination worth saving up for? Many ask and wonder. One thing is for sure. This country is renowned for its spectacular natural beauty. Becoming the next hot spot on the map and making it in the international news, Iceland has long been a photographer’s paradise. Its truly a beautiful country to visit and is certainly worth saving up for. Once you read and see beautiful picture of Iceland, I’m sure you would want to head to the bank and keep aside few bucks like how I did. With prices now at their lowest in years, there really has never been a better time to visit this beautiful country.

Although this island lack trees, the landscape is enhanced by hot springs, volcanoes, thermal pools, glaciers and numerous geysers in return. So let’s get you excited shall we? First and foremost, there has never been a cheaper time to visit Iceland, and this incredible country is now within reach to travelers around the world. Iceland is on top of the list of being at the top for adventure holidays. It burst with natural attractions and landscape. As it has been making all kinds of lists this year, you will know that indisputably it’s one of the most spectacular destinations in the world.

Make 2013 the best opportunity to make your way to a place with the perfect backdrops on earth. Take pleasure in diverse activities like horse riding, glacier hiking, whale watching and white water rafting. Follow it with by relaxing geothermal spa in the renowned Blue Lagoon. Not enough? Let’s not leave out the vibrant capital city of Reykjavik, and while there the opportunity for you to see the nature’s wonder – Northern Lights. It’s a surreal show in the skies above. You know that you can’t possible not talk about food. After all, food is something you should try whenever you go to a different part of the world. The food here is influenced by Scandinavian and European cuisines, which are based on lamb and fish. Try salmon served in many forms or try the special dishes like Hangikjot (smoked lamb) and Hardfiskur (dried fish).

    Great post. This is on my list for next year. I also want to take my time with Iceland. I would hopefully like to spend a week there if I can afford to.

  7. Many years ago, a friend of mine visited Iceland — at the time, you never heard of tourists going there. I’ve been fascinated by Iceland ever since she talked about her trip, but for some reason haven’t made it there yet. Would love to see all that natural beauty.
