How many times your mother had told you to watch your manners as a kid (hopefully not when you became an adult)? For those of you who brushed it off, let this incident in Dubai be an eye opener. This has happened in Dubai International Airport when a 34 year old British man thrust his middle finger in the face of a female airport employee during a disagreement. The man is a United Nations employee who had planned a six-day stopover in Dubai on his way back to the United Kingdom from Asia.
Watch Your Manners At Airports

Dubai International Airport, Dubai
The incident has begun when the female airport employee had disallowed the man to use the customer service phone at Dubai International Airport. The reason for not allowing to use the customer service phone is unknown. However the argument had led the man to curse the female employee and thrust his middle finger in her face, all in front of the female employee’s colleagues.
The employee had called authorities and the man was arrested and convicted of “indecency and insulting the employee”. At a hearing in Dubai court, the man was jailed for three days and released, but now faces another month and awaiting his appeal. He could face a penalty of two-year jail term and deportation order.
Airports around the world take our actions very seriously these days. So let this be a lesson for everyone to watch our manners, not just in Dubai International Airport but airports around the whole world.
