Australia is one of the countries that embraces a new day before the rest of the world. Christmas is no different to Australia as they celebrate it way ahead of the rest and especially from where I am. Looking at those fireworks, did you know that Funchal hosts what is generally acknowledged as the biggest New Year’s celebration fireworks display in the world. Just do a search on YouTube for something like “Madeira Fireworks” and you should find plenty of examples.
