As the largest of the Canary archipelago, it’s no wonder Tenerife has plenty to offer its visitors, with an abundance of family-friendly Tenerife attractions. It’s hard to choose exactly what to do in Tenerife to fill your holiday itinerary too, especially when with Tenerife hotels from Hotels4U, you could easily spend the entire time lazing by the pool! If you can tear yourself away from the pool side, here are some of the fabulous attractions in Tenerife that your brood can enjoy.
Top Tenerife Attractions For Families
Siam Park Tenerife
Europe has some of the best amusement parks in the world. Siam Park is one of Europe’s largest waterparks and has a wealth of thrill-seeking flumes and fun-filled slides on offer. Ride the Tower of Power, that plummets 85-foot back down to Earth or enjoy a ride on the relaxing Mai Thai River. This Thai-themed waterpark is a must-visit Tenerife family attraction and an ideal way to spend a day in this beautiful Canary Island.
The Royal Delfin Cruise
The Royal Delfin Cruise is a perfect way to get a little closer to sea world. With a chance to see whales and dolphins roaming free in the ocean, it is perfect for any families to this Spanish island. Swim or snorkel in the Bay of Masca or just relax on board as you cruise the azure waters.
Mount Teide or Pico del Teide is the resident volcano of this largest Canary Island. It’s an ideal Tenerife family attraction, if you want to get away from the beaches for a while to witness the barren landscapes the island’s center holds. The summit of the Mount Teide is 3,718 meters high and is the highest point in Spain. It is also the highest point above sea level in the islands of the Atlantic.
Loro Parque Tenerife
Loro Parque is perfect for kids that love zoos. With over 700 animals inhabiting this fabulous park, it’s a massive family attraction in Tenerife that appeals to thousands every year. Check out the impressive aquarium or sit back as your youngsters burn off excess energy in the playground. Make sure you leave some time to witness the world’s biggest penguin habitat – Planet Penguin – where you’ll be whisked to the Antarctic, where hundreds of penguins will be waiting.
While the fabulous array of beaches and all inclusive hotels in Tenerife are enough for some families during their stay, others like to appreciate as much as possible on their trip to the island. With so many choices to suit all preferences, you’ll be spoilt for choice on a holiday in Tenerife.

I would love to climb mount Teide! Is it always snow covered?

Not always. Usually during the winter months, although sometime it may have snow a bit later too.
I’ve never been, but looks to plenty to do (or not to do, if you just want to relax)!

Hi Marisol, hope you’ll get there eventually :)
I’ve only ever been in Gran Canaria and never in Tenerife, even though Tenerife looks like the most interesting of the Canary Islands. Would especially like to hike Teide. The aqua park looks fun, too :)
