Travel Photo: Asian Elephants

If you ever visit South Asia, you must go on a safari to see Asian elephants. Sri Lanka, India and Thailand are some Asian countries where you get to see these majestic animals. If you’re yet to capture some elephants in your travels, have a look at this photograph that I took while on a safari at the Udawalawe National Park in Sri Lanka. The park is most famous for the 400 odd elephants that live there among other wild animals. During a visit, it’s not unusual to see whole herds of adult and young elephants feeding or bathing and playing in the water.

Love the pics! I just got back from riding elephants in Thailand. Loved it! I wrote a humorous anecdote about the adventure called “The Girl, the Sold Watch and Everything.” Check it out!

Hope you could get a trunk-bath by an elephant too. I loved it though it came as a surprise. Will read the post.
