Many of us have seen peacocks in the zoo but it is much more attractive to see a beautiful bird like the peacock in the wild. Peacocks are large, colorful birds, typically blue and green, known for their iridescent tails. These tail feathers spread out in a distinctive train, which is more than 60 percent of the peacock’s total body length, and boast colorful “eye” markings of blue, gold, red, and other hues. This is a picture of a beautiful peacock I captured while at the Udawalawe National Park in Sri Lanka.
Whoa! I worked in a park called Rancho Santo Antônio (San Atoine’s Ranch) in Brazil, and there were lot of Peacocks (‘Pavão’ in portuguese). The albines are amazing too.
