Club Villa Bentota combines the convenience of modern facilities with a touch of colonial period. The hotel offers 17 rooms that are individually appointed with classic 19th century period furniture of Dutch and Sri Lankan origin. The bedrooms are very exquisite compared to other places I have been to. The prices are in the high range but it is worth when it comes to a perfect getaway!
The service was wonderful as well. Staff is friendly and always ready to serve anything we desire. The restaurant offers a wide range from fresh seafood, European and authentic Sri Lankan dishes. The food was OK so I recommend that you try go out some local restaurants where you can probably have a better meal. Having tea in the evening and watching the sun set is just indescribable!
Club Villa Bentota is situated very close to the beautiful sandy beach. It is only a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel. You have to cross a train track, which is exciting but at the same time you have be careful too. It is quite safe because it is very long so you can see if a train is coming from far.
What I really liked about this bentota hotel is the quietness and tranquil atmosphere. So if you visit Sri Lanka, this is one of the hotels you should stay. Club Villa is definitely one of the awesome boutique hotels in Sri Lanka.
