It’s always nice to have a flavorsome meal followed by a perfect dessert to end the night. A pastry chef in Tokyo had decided to put this price tag on his diamond fruit cake. The chef took about 6 months to design the cake and a month to finish it with 223 small diamonds on the exterior of the cake. Besides the diamonds, the rest of the cake is edible. All the gentleman out there, for some ladies this could be the best gift ever :)

If you happen to wander into New Orleans’ French Quarter, you will see a bowl of strawberries topped with cream and mint. For some reason the price tag says $1.4 million. Well, look a bit harder and you will find one of a kind 4.7 carat pink diamond ring, which belonged to Sir Ernest Cassel who was a royal finance adviser. So for that price, not only you get delicious strawberries but a nice ring too. What’s more, this expensive dessert comes with wine, which is served in a wine set worth $24,850. You will also get to enjoy live jazz music while enjoying your Strawberries Arnaud. Come to think of it, who would eat a $1.4 million dessert without music in the background, right?

This Platinum Cake with a tiny price tag (comparatively), which is only $130,000 is created by the Japanese pastry chef Nobue Ikara. The cake is decorated with plain white frosting and then draped with platinum, which includes the chains, necklaces, pins and pendants. The chef dedicated the cake to all the women and persuade more women to wear platinum. The Platinum Cake has been showcased by Platinum Guild International. Surprisingly the cake has not been sold yet so you still have a chance ;)

The Sultan’s Golden cake is available at the Ciragan Palace Kempinski Hotel in Istanbul for a fair price of $1,000. I’m sure the flight ticket to Istanbul is cheaper than that but that’s a different story. The cake is made out of apricots, pears, figs and quince that are put into Jamaican Rum and soaked for two years. The topping of the cake is French Polynesia vanilla bean, caramel, black truffles and of course a 24k gold leaf. It takes 72 hours for the cake to be made and once it’s ready, you will get it in a sterling silver cake box with a golden seal! So if you want a piece of Sultan’s Golden Cake, you need to order in advance. Great for your next wedding cake huh?
8. The Brownie Extraordinaire | $1,000

If you are in New Jersey, Atlantic City to be precise, you can try this expensive brownie. The Brownie Extraordinaire is sold at the Brule restaurant in Tropicana Casino and Resort. This expensive dessert is made from dark chocolate, covered with Italian hazelnuts and served with a scoop of ice cream. What’s more, the customers are given a rare and expensive wine named Quinta do Novel Nicional from Portugal. The wine is served in a St. Louis Crystal as well. The brownie may not seem like a lavish dessert for that price but when you add the rare wine, it does spice things up.

This gorgeous dessert is available at Serendipity 3 – a New York restaurant. This Golden Opulence Sundae was created in celebration of its 50th anniversary, also known as the golden anniversary. The restaurant only sells about one of these sundaes a month. The high-price sundae is made with 5 scoops of Tahitian Vanilla Bean ice cream mixed with Madagascar vanilla, Venezuelan Chuao chocolate and topped with a leaf covered in 23K edible gold. You think that’s a mouthful huh? Well there’s more. Other ingredients include Paris candied fruits, marzipan cherries, gold dragets and truffles. To top off this expensive sundae, you will also get Amedei Porcelana – the world’s most expensive chocolates, which is drizzled over the top with a Ron Ben-Israel sugar flower on the side. Well you can’t just eat this dessert with a regular spoon, right? So you are given a 18K gold spoon to enjoy the sundae out of a crystal goblet. A royal treat I would say.

Might be the most simplest dessert but with a price tag of $854 per pound, it may not be the most affordable. These expensive chocolates are by Noka Chocolate. The company is well known for producing delicious and one of the finest chocolates in the world. Noka uses different types of cocoa from different parts of the world – Ecuador, Venezuela, Cote d’Ivoire, and Trinidad. The chocolates that are in the vintage collection are of dark variety chocolates and each of them made with 75% cocoa. If you are a fan of dark chocolates, it could be worth the money. My mouth opened wide, not because of how good and yummy these desserts were, but at the price. I agree, if someone is going to treat me with it, how can you possibly say now :D or of course if you win the lottery, guess we can try all of them cause price will not matter :)
